But BSV is actually being used on multiple platforms and can even be used as a remittance. I can send BSV to someone in another country and they can convert it to their fiat without the use of a middleman.

ETH has way way more usage, but nothing useful enough to make masses care about blockchain. It doesn't scale either. It is still miles ahead of BSV though, in terms of development and adoption.
It may take years until BSV has proper use cases & adoption.

It doesn’t matter if it is trillions of miles ahead on usage if it doesn’t scale. Make it quadrillions of miles ahead, still doesn’t matter. If ETH can’t scale then it is literally useless. BSV can scale so that makes it quintillions of miles ahead of ETH.
I totes agree with that, but I'm just pointing out the current state. Twetch is about the only thing I find useful on BSV atm, whereas ETH has tons of games (read: gambling dapps), DEXes, collectibles, marketplaces etc. BSV needs lots of usage development.
BSV has plenty of great platforms: Twetch, WeiBlock (Chinese version of Twetch), Baemail, CityOnChain, Streamanity, and whatever other ones people are about to tell me I missed.
It feels very much like a proof of concept phase to me, but it's definitely a start. Most things are a minimum viable product right now. I think Twetch is the most promising, but it still needs much work before it can succeed.
