No, Australia is market based with increasing government intervention. I think you're deluded if you think it is just the media twisting things to suggest that Harris, AOC and especially Bernie are socialists.

Australia has universal healthcare right?
We have two systems, public (access for all) and private. The public system is very low quality with wait times for surgery between 6 to 12 months. Anyone who can afford it get private cover, for high income if you don't get private cover you pay more tax.
Same here we have obamacare and private insurance. No differnce that i know of in wait times for surgery.
The US private healthcare is the best in the world. But when Bernie or other democrats say they want "free healthcare" do they mean access to all healthcare for free?
One thing we have that Trump wants too, is for prescription drugs, our Federal government negotiates with drug companies to get a bulk price discount.
We have lobbiest here and they pay the poloticiians. AOC is 100% not paid by lobbiest. Her ideas are crazy but its not an overnight thing. The media makes it seem like she wants to make driving cars illegal its exaggerated
So when AOC said the earth would end in 12 years because of climate change, that was the media taking her out of context?
