If you want a "big think" book, I recommend "who built the moon?" by Christopher Knight. It is a personal favorite and you will never look at the moon in the same way again.

It is really great, particularly if you are familiar with the current theories of the creation of the moon. The analysis of the double tap theory is great and I never seen anyone do it before.
