The 0.2% number comes from the supposed 15 million jews they say there are but this is wrong because the 15 million number comes from the ones that attend synagog which is nowhere all of them as it does not account for secular jews who don't attend. It also doesn't account for crypto jews who are pretending to be other races/ethnicities. Unfortunately the avotaynu database no longer works which was excellent for checking for crypto jews. As for China look into the Kaifeng jewish names.
