I pondered this for years...and acted on it. I built a home solar generator from scratch using parts from Home Depot and marine batteries. I can harness sun, wind, or charge it from the wall or car. This is a good post. I'm gonna dig up those pics and post a thread later explaining how I built it and harness and store energy.

The battery storage is really what we just need as individuals. We got multiples ways of harnessing the energy, we just got perfect storing it locally in your house to use. The "solar panels on the roof" scam does nothing for storing your harnessed energy in the house. All transferred back to the utility company. The Tesla wall batteries are a start. This is my wheelhouse right here. I just need better batteries and I'm set. I've learned to harness energy, that's the easy part...
