What is branching exactly?
What the chain says
- Block
- 618 005
- Time
- 2020-01-17T10:17:26Z
- Signer
- 1JLButMZPU7xu2PUBPxekTcpJKPzZuaTuZ
- App
- twetch
- Type
- reply
- Content type
- text/plain
- Name in tx
- twetch#9392
Fields the transaction did not carry are omitted. Open the payload to see the bytes as stored.

A simple explanation:
twetch#3423 6.7y
A branch is like a retweet! Except it’s tied to the transaction on chain, so it is connected... like branches on a tree
It’s like retweets but since Twetch runs on $BSV when you “branch” you are actually literally creating a new branch on the $BSV chain
