Boost taking advantage of existing ASIC hardware also means that miners are incentivized to simply start mining instead of spending time and money modifying their miners or creating new hardware to mine 21e8. This is mutually beneficial.

I think that BoostPoW and 21e8 aren't even in competition with each other. Boost can create PoW that's not really feasible on existing GPU/CPUs. 21e8 creates PoW that's not possible with existing ASICs. Basically just two sides of the same coin. @24 @9
