patents can give the inventor a little extra time to get their shit together correctly before the competition can just claim it as their own. if they really want to steal it they pay you. seems fair to me.

I agree with you but in the end we live in a modern world. Putting it on the blockchain will verify who was first. Patents stops progress, Open source is the way to go IMO. It is not fair for a inventor to have to spend lots of money to patent something

When it is on chain it is kind of patented, but I still think open source and competition is better then "claiming and owning rights". The world is a state of the past, everything created has been inspired of the past. So even the "new is the past"
