never scrub your pan with a scourer
i use a loofa at most on pans
always wash it while hot
if only frying in it do not wash it often
if you need season it
just fry a load of salt, then oil it
no need to crazy on seasoning a pan like many think
just take care of it
if you use it and it does not stick then you know it is good
just wipe it out with tissue while still hot to clean it
you really do not need wash a pan that often
I am a fan of dirty pan cooking with cast iron
