The chickens run was right here up until a few days ago. I let them do all the work, killing the grass and fertilizing the area so I could have another plot to grow shit on.

that's a wide area and really good place for animal farms. Our chicken and ducks here in our town just letting it go anywhere even in neighbor's house. Ducks come home when sun is set around 6pm on they own. but chicken's rarely only coming home, days or weeks apart😂

I have my chickens going straight into their coop at dusk every night. It would be cool to have one of those automatic doors for them so I don't have to be here every morning at 6:30am and 7:30pm. I'm going to let my chickens roam around in a month or 2, but only when I'm outside. Gotta get a net to catch them if one decides to go fafo 🤣

I am enjoying experimenting with some farming stuff. It's definitely not something I am an expert in, but I have some people around me that know what they're doing, so I can always call them up if I need advice. I certainly don't take what I have for granted. 🙃

Mobile coop?

Yep. It's called a tractor coop meant to pick up on one end and push like you're pushing a wheelbarrow. It's apparently good practice to move your chickens every few weeks so they have fresh bugs and grass to eat and to rotate where they're fertilizing the land.

Yeah my friend has one; he was working on automation this year after harvest.
