I think it depends how and what you're measuring. I think the US has kept growth alive with a lot of funny money pumping since late 2007. At some point, I think those debts come home to roost.

Longer term view is sidelines or sell bounces & cover brutal down days.
US recession this year coming. Earnings off a cliff, yield curve inversion last aug, industrial production & capacity utilisation peak long ago, fed funds turned, employment cracked.
