The Oligarchy created narratives how there are evils who they need to fight, how "GREAT KINGDOMs" are good and poor are lazy, not worthy of life, EDUCATION was privilege to rich only, workers/slaves didn't have time for anything but working for Oligarchy
When technology helped make production more efficient, workers didn't get more or better lives, they remained poor, only Oligarchy got richer, the slave owners, the land owners, the monarchs got richer only, nothing is free any more. Where is FREEDOM now?
WWI, first massive, global war, which was just another Capitalist Imperialist war between Oligarchies (Game of Thrones), using sheeple to murder each other (Brainwashing), for their "great" Empire, made things for workers even worse & killed 40 mln people
Some people who were sick of this Oligarchy and Status Quo, were looking for ways to overthrow them, and as Capitalism made things for working class people even worse & to CHANGE THE SYSTEM so that workers are no longer exploited
