A few initial thoughts:
- Rewards original content. On Twitter I usually don't bother to create my own memes, I just share shit I find.
Now there is an incentive to create something of your own and monetize it. Will attract content creators.

Memes are both very simple and very complicated. Twetch has it's own meme economy, just like Reddit or 4chan or any other platform. Some memes are a hit, so they branch and evolve & get likes. Some "die in fresh".
