The problem is that the power to tax is the power to destroy. I would much rather pay outright than give the government the power to tax-medical-kill. Taxes create fake demand for fiat as governments now print unlimited money out of thin air.

In Canada, we have "healthcare refugees", which are American citizens that flee to Canada for medical treatment of serious issues such as cancer. I've seen lives financially destroyed by the American health system.

Yeah mainstream medicine completely broke in America but alternative medicine thriving. In my area people go to Mexico too for surgeries like removing the mercury poisons dentist put in their mouth. Much medicine is detoxing the poison of the “medicine”.
