i never understood the "Top" sort. you visit it once and it never really changes, so there's no point in coming back. This is the inspiration for [[top new]]...

it's the most upvalued posts you haven't seen. once you've scrolled by a post, it disappears from the Top New feed until the next time someone upvalues it (with a cool down).

the cool thing about this is that when on this feed, the treechat community's attention will be coordinated in a single place ranked by upvalue, rather the following graph or recency, so when we upvalue we guide attention for all future treechatters who will traverse down this feed
