The economic system is systematically questioned, even attacked, by the media, politics, the educational system.
Socialism is pushed as an alternative everywhere by the establishment because it is controlled opposition and a way to get complete control.

The monetary system is indeed largely left in the dark, but that will probably also change once the establishment has a new system of financial control they want to roll out.
