The winners in the proof-of-work game are the ones who correctly value their ideas. Undervalue and you lose attention, overvalue and you lose energy. It doesn't matter how wealthy you are. Boost will destroy anyone who overvalues themselves eventually.

I think im confused, I dont see why this is true: "overvalue and you lose energy"
Maybe i have the wrong idea of how it's gonna work in practice. People with alot of money can afford to waste alot of energy
And it wont be a "waste" of energy if they get attention from the leading 0s they're paying for?
You have to find the optimum amount. If you get more than optimal then you lose energy relative to people who found the optimal amount.
