I thought you said that it was a reason to go to war with Iran. I would be surprised to see gold react so positively to an end of war. An end of war means negotiations are over and China resumes buying US treasuries. Unless you think China gets the better end of the deal at the end of the war, I find this difficult to believe

They could no longer maintain their previous pace. But what is the Chinese economy without access to the markets US gives them. What deal do you reach with your largest trading partner if not resuming buying treasuries? They allow US dollar stablecoins in China? Or do they give US access to Chinese markets?
