This time around, the focus needs to be on true data ownership, and not just content and NFTs. Thinking more along the lines of torrenting, local AI etc,.

In a world where nobody has agency or privacy online, Twetch users should have ultimate autonomy and independence.

Similar to how people in cities opt in for the slavery of infinite rent payments, subscriptions, reliance on municipalities for electricity and food and water – While others (smaller group) remove themselves and build fully self-reliant homesteads.

I expect Twetch (rural homestead) to be a smaller, more niche group than something like Twitter (city), the market will still be large enough to sustain it and the trend is growth in this direction.

On a smaller scale, we are seeing a resurgence in the 'analogue'

A good example of that would be something like record players and collecting records, or the Gameboy that anduril just released that has people driving the prices of old gameboy games up

People don't want to see an ad everytime they want to play a game, or wait 2 hours to download the latest update. They want to pop in the cartridge and play the damn game.

The idea would be that twetch becomes the place people go to exchange data peer to peer – whether that's movies or music or programs.

At which point its not just some bsv app but it's where people recommend you go as a useful tool to get things you might need.

Eventually that can become a physical market as well where trusted parties exchange goods and collectibles and such like ebay

I've been working on P2P for BSocial networks, which Twetch is, for a while. You run an app on your computer/phone/browser which seeds the network with your own posts/likes/shares. And sync's them with your friends. The more popular an item is, the more nodes are seeding it, and the more it propagates.

That's definitely moving in the right direction. I don't think owning your posts likes and shares is enough to move the needle though. It's got a lot of problems to iron out, but Twetch should be the place people go to download p2p music or movies etc,. that they can own forever.

Once you have the P2P channels, all sorts of commerce comes available. Bitcoin pubkeys are valid as libp2p Peer IDs, so you can communicate with and pay to the same identifier.

Twetch worked before because of the kitchen table effect. People came here to gather. It's not even the micro payments you earn. In fact you could remove that and it would be fine. The subscription model wasn't even a bad idea. If you did that and removed the micro payments the subscription would pay for most if not all of the onchain fees. You could think beyond bsv. Use bsv as an immutable ledger in the backend and people won't even they are using it.

The market is cool but when it became all about that , the the kitchen table was left unattended.

Yes but growth is still important. We have some great ideas we can finally execute on. Should be interesting

When people got it, they loved it. People are generous here. Would say that was a draw. I remember in a conversation someone mentioned a memory and I fetched the YouTube and got a like and it clicked... One click of many.

one big issue was it just didnt work well enough before, but realistically we could go viral with something so simple as getting tokens for every post

Imo if you own your data your twetch wallet balance shouldn't be broadcast to everyone without consent. There are many reasons this shouldn't be the case. Not even sure if that is legal?

A wallet is public. Tying identity to who owns it is not. No one has this info but you that info is private. I'd definitely check with someone on that.

True data ownership is what attracted me to BTC (decentralised). Now that BTC has been infiltrated, I am glad that BSV exists. I am interested in being able to store and upload documents that I could use as declarations of sovereignty, nationhood statements, upholding inalienable rights, basically creating whole new systems based on Universal Natural Lore for when the corrupt old systems collapse.
