So the daily record for transactions on #BSV main-net is still only around 128 million txs. This occured back in August 2023 I believe.

Why has there not been a demonstration of 1 billion txs in a day?

Can main-net do 10x what it did in August 2023?

They should have kept it a yearly thing every September
and been big and loud about it each year
instead there has been bursts here and there, that people then try to pass of as organic tx
when we all know they are not
an annual event makes it clear they are not organic
but does then give a great demonstration of networks capability

Exactly my thoughts. An annual show of the progress of scaling.

Talk is no good. It is best to show everyone. The same date each year makes sense incase any issues are caused with pushing things to their limits. Apps and wallets have advance notice of increased network activity.
Obviously if organic usage is breaking records on a monthly basis the previous annual test can be the last.

You can do all the testing you want on a dyno, you only find out true progress when you hit the track.

we did try to do the same again in Sept 2019
but hit issues and we were doing it alone
there is a bit more to the story but I won't get into that
the community was just not the same after the hash wars
a lot of the energy was gone

the points you bring up were exactly why we tried to make it an annual thing, same date every year.
