Lots of teams and OPCs (One-Person Companies) have been using AI to churn out novels, AI TikTok videos, and mini-games like crazy. But many of them have already shut down. And it's NOT because their content sucks.

The brutal truth? The vast majority of internet users expect everything for free and won't pay a single cent for digital work (since micropayments still aren't viable). So even though AI can mass-produce incredibly fun content, the ad pie is only so big. Ad budgets don't magically grow just because there's more content out there.

And honestly? High-quality work often gets way fewer clicks than trashy, low-effort garbage. It completely kills the enthusiasm for talented creators to keep building with AI. 📉💔

Why are creators churning out absolute garbage? Because trash gets the most clicks. It’s all driven by a massive crowd of free users, and let’s be brutally honest—their taste is just bottom-tier. So when the only metric that matters is engagement, garbage ironically becomes the "winning" content.

I agree with that but it now has the simple benefit of being "not ai-slop" so any real content now has a premium

Back in the day, people actually PAID for content. You bought newspapers, magazines, and books, which is why the quality was usually top-notch.
Today? Publishers are going bankrupt because users just want everything for free. The ones actually paying now are the advertisers.
And here’s the dark truth: from an advertiser's POV, all that trashy, low-quality content is EXACTLY what they want. Why? Because raw clicks are the only metric they care about. More clicks = better ROI, even if the content is pure garbage. The system is literally rigged for trash.
