For me personally this doesn't work.
What people say and what is written in books is no basis for me to rest my faith on.

For all I know even Jesus could be a way to get people away from God and tell them they just have to wait for his return.

then do whatever you believe. hopefully it is right. but if you did read those books, you would understand why it isn't [right].

do you have the power to raise yourself from the dead? because only One has been able to conquer death.

I don't have that power.

I'm just perplexed by how sure people are about things.

All I know is that there is a Creator and it's not me. His name? No idea. I call Him the First, the Only, the Most High.

Everything else is too uncertain for me

Why this would be wrong is beyond me,
to me it seems like my spiritual duty.

But this is why I asked.
I wanted to know if Christians can accept my approach or if I'm lost in their view.

To me it doesn't matter what name others have for God.
