timestamping idea: use Bitcoin's script to create a dead man's switch that automatically reveals the key to an encrypted onchain file by spending your coins which publishes your public key for the first time, that was used as the key to encrypt the file.

Dunno how to do this, but it sounds as cool as you indicate.
Seems like a service would be needed, or perhaps a self-running "machine" which is immutable running on-chain as well, so it, along with your message, doesn't die either.
