The Pleiades are a group of more than 800 stars located about 410 light-years from Earth in the constellation Taurus. Pleiadies which looks something like a smaller, hazier version of the Big Dipper in the night sky.

Aldebaran is often depicted as the fiery eye of Taurus the Bull. Because it is bright and prominent, Aldebaran was honored as one of the Four Royal Stars in ancient Persia, the other three Royal Stars being Regulus, Antares and Fomalhaut.
"Aldebaran" means The Follower in Arabic, probably referring to it following the Pleiades across the night sky. In Aztec myth, it and the Pleiades are associated with demons that will one day destroy the earth.
