I know next to nothing about BSV but am convinced from people I trust that it will play an important part in our financial system in years to come.

Probably not just financial. Verifiable timestamps have a lot of potential uses. Copyright and patent industry could obviously use timestamps. So could in investigative reporters. Not to mention information storage in general. We haven't seen anything yet.
