The thing is there are a lot of positive things that can be done with machine learning. But this is the epitome of using black box algorithms purely because they're opaque in order to blame judgement calls on "the algorithm." Shamelessly dishonest.

Good point, but it's mostly a cost factor I guess. AI is much cheaper in the long run than human censors, especially with that massive user base facebook (still) has. Thie AI censored one of my DMs because it contained a robert sepehr YT link.

The video just talked about why the Out of Africa-Theory is false. And its easy to game their AI by just splicing the link oslt. Their massive stupid censorship will be their downfall I guess. They are pushing their users to other competitors like Twetch.

I guess it's just a pet peeve of mine. I certainly agree with you they are self destructing. I really wonder sometimes if Mark Zuckerberg thinks he just has a monopoly so the users will never leave.
