In 1614 a false or apocryphal continuation was published, signed with the name of “Alonso Fernández de Avellaneda, native of the town of Tordesillas.”, that is why it is known as the apocryphal Avellaneda's Don Quijote.
In 1615, Cervantes responded to the usurper, publishing the true second part of Don Quixote. And in the prologue of this work, Cervantes denounced that the name and place of origin of Avellaneda were false.

In 2008, the first part of Satoshi Nakamoto's Don Quijote was published.
