Many made the Tesla connection, which "generated" some interesting ideas, and brought me around "full circle" so to speak (so many pun possibilities!)
I graphed the helical path of time traced on the surface of a torus by two hands on a clock.

Place a clock with only an hour hand in the center of the torus.
Place a second clock with only the minute hand inside the tube of the torus.
Now plot a point for every minute the clocks advance and you get a helix that traces the surface of the torus.
