U can sell yourself short by not expressing impulse.
Maybe impulsiveness implies a lack of consideration, reflection or self control. I'm quite open to being spontaneous but this is usually after a tiny pause to make that choice.
You impulsively went for the kill shot rather than exploring the benefits of impulsivity.
