I understand the game, most don't. You have no way of knowing if the 10 nodes of BTC are centralized under one entity. The game is keeping node honest. New nodes can enter and leave at will and you can trust them because they are incentivised to be honest
Do you really have to solve the Byzantine generals problem if you have one general willing to decide whether to attack or retreat? You only need a solution to the Byzantine generals problem when you have more then one honest general deciding on a tactic.
Why would it matter as long as TAAL is honest?
The "centralization", as you call it, comes from outside forces making it impossible for honest generals to join the battle by supressing the price of BSV. The protocol itself was never about decentralization as it would be impossible to achieve.
Let's face it. It's a big club and we ain't in it. However the decupoeling from 'crypto' will be a good thing when that house of card collapse.

Nodes lose out on reward on work once the attacker's branch is longer. It is not something that needs fixing. The CPU power proof-of-work vote must have the final say. The longest chain is always the valid one, no matter what.
