Agreed! I quit using BTC when fees under $10 were ignored by the network (3 or 4 years ago?). Since most of the transactions were around $1000.00, that was 1%

My last faucet experience was about 10 years ago. I was getting 0.01 BTC if I remember right. Seemed like such a waste of time - only one cent per "click and wait"...
Those were micro-payments.
Later, spending those were costly. Hours to be included...
