A DAO is a Decentralized Autonomous Organization.
A DAO does whatever its members want it to do; Ape Token holders propose/vote on proposals that decide what the DAO does.
The Gorilla Treasury acts as the DAO's actionable capital

What is a DAO? And what does a DAO do exactly?
I have not been educated in DAO's so am interested.
What is the outllook?
What are the funds used for?
Sorry for being sceptical, I have put $ towards "ICO's" and lost plenty.
I want to learn.
no worries, you are asking great questions.
there are 145 Ape Tokens in circulation, the remaining 2,099,855
are held by the Gorilla DAO (38436@moneybutton.com)
Patrick Thompson (@CryptoAmerican) is managing the community until it is truly autonomous.
Welcome to the Gorilla DAO

Can the Gorilla's use $9.99 from the Gorilla Treasury to buy Twetch encrypted chat and get the DAO members into one location to discuss and vote on proposals?
Vote Yes or No in the replies and include your paymail in the message

Excellent proposal too.
in the next 7 days there will be a more formal way for DAO members to communicate and discuss proposals–even if it has to live on Telegram to begin with.

The Gorillas are logging off for the day.
New members will have their Ape tokens sent to them first thing tomorrow morning.
Right now we have Patrick Thompson helping us out, but all of this will run via smart contracts in the future!
