Luke 18:19
When you were born physically, there was a record made called a birth certificate. When you were born again, a record was also made in heaven.
Your birth certificate was marked with a seal. Your spiritual birth is sealed by the Holy Spirit of God.
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 14:26
Jesus Christ promised he would never cast out anyone who comes to him by faith. re: (John 6:37) Jesus lives in you and promised to keep you secure. re: (II Timothy 1:12) God promised eternal life, and God cannot lie. re: (Titus 1:2, John 2:25)
Rejoice!
Does sin affect my relationship with my Heavenly Father?
God will not kick you out of his family, but he will discipline you as his child. The NATURE of your relationship with your Father will not change, but the QUALITY of it will.
re: (Hebrews 12:5-11)
What should I do when I sin?
Confess it to God, and trust the blood of Jesus Christ to cleanse you. Repent (turn away from the sin), and ask God for the power to help you stop committing that sin.
re: (I John 1:6-10, Proverbs 28:13)
Will I sin after I am saved?
Yes. When you were saved, your old nature did not change, and will draw you into sin as long as you are alive.
re: (Romans 7:18-25, James 1:14)
Your Heavenly Father will help you. He will feed you. He will protect you. He will guide and teach you. He has a plan for you. He will provide for you. He will not discourage you. He will discipline you.
Because He loves you, and cares for you so much.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ...
II Corinthians 5:17-18
Trust in Jesus Christ as your Saviour.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
John 5:24
By trusting Jesus Christ to save us, we have accessed the only solution to the problem of our sinful nature.
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
John 3:3
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire.
Matthew 3:11
Receiving Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour is the most important decision you will ever make.
An eternity with God in heaven is infinitely more valuable than anything in this life.
The Christian walk is a practical walk. It's exciting, fulfilling, energizing, and satisfying.
It will not wear out, nor will it become obsolete.
Jesus Christ has given you eternal life with Him, and He wants to give you an "abundant life" now, as well.
