I blame the Internet for the sheer numbers of idiots that believe this shit.
I have a friend for 25 years. Over the last 3 years he became more susceptible to conspiracy theories. Last few times I've seen him I've told him I'm not interested but he always tries to steer conversation back.
I have to let him go, but it makes me sad.
