If you live in the Southern Portion of North Carolina or anywhere with like ~80% Clay, you need to dilute the portion of Clay.

Remove a small layer of Clay, wet it rest of area, then bash soil with 6 Lbs Pick Axe, add in topsoil and mix well.

Clay Soil is used to add better water adsorption. It's hard like concrete or a rock when fully dry. Wet like puddle when submerged from a good rainstorm.

You can grow well if you keep the top layer of clay at a around ~30% or less.
