Imagine a company that wanted to get some feedback/market research and valued it at £50/£100. 10,000 participants get half a penny/a penny each. But more people then it just divides further

Fair point about the bots, if we can stop spamming that it would be great.

I just think people should be paid for their input. Otherwise the poll creator gets a free lunch.

Imagine if Bitping made participants pay. That wouldn’t be successful.

Whats the difference with polls?

I thought about that, but then people choose what they think is popular, not what is honest answer.

In order to create an honest system, I feel blockchain needs to replicate the real world in some respects

Voting- one vote per person in the real world is fair, and it is limited to one because you have one identity

Over Ten thousand users and I got ten votes.

I bet if I paid out £1 I would have got at least 10x the response.

Then the poll results would have been more valuable to me as well.

Bots may have some purpose but we need to create a system which stops them being utilised to manipulate information.

If participants earned micropayments from this poll, I would have received MUCH more feedback, providing more accurate and better results. That would have been more valuable to me also.

Think about it, some traditional online polls do give aways in order to entice people to participate. That model is ONLY used because the online economy had no access to micropayments!

Imagine if everyone earned a tiny slice.

Reliable? Sounds risky to me, almost too good to be true.

Gavin’s deposition seemed fair to me. He sounds like a genuine honest man. Probably never wanted to get so caught up in the politics. but a small part of me thinks he is a pussy for not standing up stronger/louder, if not for Satoshi, then for Bitcoin!

I’ve said this before, more reliable polls would be a massive sell point!

Many people use Twitter polls to gauge general public interest, problem is a lot of fake bot accounts.

Twetch could solve this.
