Yeah that would definitely depend on the threshold to becoming verified. It’d have to be some sort of unbiased method or you’ll just get another blue check mark echo chamber like twitter. But then what keeps the bots from gaming the verification system?
I’m not sure if all that is necessary. As long as the rules stay consistent the cream will rise to the top. It will take a couple years but I think the spam accounts will prove to be unprofitable and will subside in favor of good content.
Eventually the ‘latest’ and new tabs will get phased out/hidden behind a menu. Signal to noise ratio there can only get worse as we grow. Having the tabs probably encourages it actually.
