So having seen Australian beaches (are you American?) are there any beaches here in USA (I live here now) that are as nice? I have not been to Florida, but California beaches were the only thing that made me miss Australia. Our beaches are amazing.

Sadly I watched a documentary that tagged sharks in Sydney waters THEY ARE FREAKING EVERYWHERE. So many of them and many times they swam by groups of people who did not notice them. They cleaned up the pollution in the bay and sharks are thriving.

I was going to say I am glad to know you are NOT surfing in Australia. Although I know many who are!! Swimming on the west coast of Australia is adrenaline pumping WAS ALWAYS looking for sharks. And make sure someone is further out than you. LOL.
