scientific notation isnt very scientific

The only reason it seems confusing is that people get conditioned to believe in "Electrons Flowing" instead of "Electrical System Pressure".

They ask: "So the electrons from from anode to cathode or cathode to anode?" That conditioning confuses people.

rooibos, hibiscus, chamomile, lavender tea, mint tea are all not technically tea

The seeds of C. sinensis can be pressed to yield tea oil, a sweetish seasoning/cooking oil that should not be confused with tea tree oil, an essential oil that is used for medical and cosmetic purposes, and originates from the leaves of a different plant.

i think tea is actually the OG cash crop

Camellia sinensis is a species of evergreen shrubs or small trees in the flowering plant family Theaceae whose leaves and leaf buds are used to produce tea. Common names include "tea plant", "tea shrub", and "tea tree".

lmaoooo its true tho

did you know that all tea (black, green, white, oolong, english breakfast, etc) actually comes from the same plant

C. sinensis var. sinensis and C. s. var. assamica are two varieties grown today. White tea, yellow tea, green tea, oolong, dark tea and black tea are all harvested from one or the other, but are processed differently to attain varying levels of oxidation.

Embedding the resulting metric by Sammon mapping further enhances the local structures at the expense of long distances that tend to be less reliable. Experiments on real-world benchmarks suggest that Minimap can robustly visualize manifold structures.

Visualizing low-dimensional non-linear manifolds underlying high-dimensional data is a challenging data analysis problem.

1F8LZF…8gsQ Key · twetch

In this paper, we propose a new method called Minimap. The basic idea is to approximate local geodesic distances by shortest paths along a neighborhood graph with an additional penalizing factor based on the number of steps in the path.

1F8LZF…8gsQ Key · twetch

The geodesic distance is a popular and well-justified metric. However, it is very hard to approximate reliably from finite samples especially between far apart points.

Different manifold visualization methods can be characterized by the associated definitions of proximity between high dimensional data points and score functions that lead to different low-dimensional embeddings, preserving different features in the data.

The Third Manifesto (1995) is Christopher J. Date's and Hugh Darwen's proposal for future database management systems, a response to two earlier Manifestos with the same purpose.

1F8LZF…8gsQ Key · twetch

The theme of the manifestos is how to avoid the "object-relational impedance mismatch" between object-oriented programming languages and relational database management systems.

1F8LZF…8gsQ Key · twetch

The Fourth Manifesto was far shorter than their previous works, totalling in at 3 words: "MONGO IS TRASH"

The Third Manifesto proposes to maintain the relational model for databases and to support objects as user-defined types.
