"Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God; everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God." 1 Jn. 4:7
The image of the Good Shepherd is one of the oldest depictions of Jesus we have in the Church. It was painted on catacomb walls, carved on wood and lamps. "A good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep" (Jn. 10:11b).
"God blessed them and God said to them: Be fertile and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and all the living things that crawl on the earth."
"God is a being than which none greater can be imagined."
Please forgive the scholastic in me--distinctions are important. God is not just "a" life giving spirit; God is "the" life giving spirit.

Careful. Jesus did not "become" anything more or less. He is the Son of God (immutable). As first born of the dead, he is Lord of the living and the dead. Together, the Father and the Son send the Spirit (the promised Advocate) on Pentecost.
And on asymptomatic spread: "Among asymptomatic individuals, there was no droplets or aerosols coronavirus detected from any participant with or without the mask, suggesting that asymptomatic individuals do not transmit or infect other people"

OUR CONSTITUTION WAS MADE ONLY FOR A MORAL AND RELIGIOUS PEOPLE. IT IS WHOLLY INADEQUATE TO THE GOVERNMENT OF ANY OTHERS

The American People must always be Moral!
You sure you haven't already had that talk with Jesus? 😉
Unless someone is open to other perspectives, I tend to do the same. Funny thing is, people like Andreas Antonopoulos, as much as they promote the lie, say the only way people learn is to lose. There is truth in that statement.

The original coffin dance! haha (check out 2:50)
Also, I found @1208 's Chart Shows to be very helpful in showing the fundamentals (the only metric that matters) and exposing the lies of all the rest. This 4-16 episode was particularly well done. https://youtu.be/Nu_5UVlZ6Lw
That you're willing to have that dialogue is an excellent first step. Also, respecting other's freedom to come to terms with it in their own time. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink.
That's precisely why we look upon the Crucified One as victorious--the so called scandal of the cross. Jesus took upon himself the sins of all humanity and offered himself as a sacrifice to the Father on our behalf. Have that chat, I know he's listening.
It's quite the scandal. In terms of what Bitcoin (SV) can do, however, it completely destroys the competition. The others are literally living in a bubble. The people will win, but not because they sat by idle, but rather, because they got to work. 😀
This is a challenge of language. Many of the words in Scripture have multiple meanings, as do our words today. But, history shows a natural evolution of understanding, e.g. Acts 11:19-26. Having an identity, e.g. 'Christian', helps to further cement church
Wouldn't it be something if, after all this time you've accumulated more BSV than they could ever afford with their millions...then who would be winning? Not that it is a competition. Money is merely a means to an end. May we be blessed to give back.
Sure, "a" church could be any type of community organized behind a particular set of beliefs. "The" Church, however, is the community of the baptized. They are collective in their adoption by the Father, but diverse in their unique gifts.
I'm totally with you in wanting to bring others along. It's frustrating when they're so closed off to other possibilities. At the heart of it is fear of being wrong. Once someone believes a lie, it is hard for them to see the truth.
Absolutely! Jesus is speaking of himself by analogy. It was necessary that the Christ would suffer and on the third day be raised (Lk. 24:46). This fulfills multiple OT prophecies, e.g., Hos. 6:2.
According to Strong's, "I will build" or "oikodome" = to be a house-builder, i.e. construct or confirm. Jesus was speaking of the community that would form around Peter, e.g., in Acts 2. It is not Peter who draws them, but Jesus working through Peter.
Can't change the tense of Scripture, however, if you're asking for a modern day example of this in action, then we might say every time someone is baptized, Christ is building his Church. This is one result of the kerygma of Peter & the apostles.
