The SEC is a prime example of Nanny State gone wrong. They're a complete joke that is helping the American Empire die.

1ECoyq…NzaD Key · twetch

The only way to keep a republic in check is to have all documents on public record. Bitcoin seems to be a good choice for that.

1ECoyq…NzaD Key · twetch

The primary function of most governments is to enforce crony capitalism and its secondary function is to placate the masses so that they will not rise up against the government or the actual recipients of government services.

1ECoyq…NzaD Key · twetch

When a government thinks it can print money, it has reached the maximum height of corruption and ignorance of economics. Printing money is stealing buying power from everyone.

1ECoyq…NzaD Key · twetch

I'm a republican. Only stakeholders should vote. The masses will for communism every time. The masses don't understand that printing money will destroy everything. The masses will vote for those who will steal the most for them.

I guess the nice thing about government is that when it is excessively corrupt it collapses rather quickly. So maybe that will create an evolutionary pressure resulting in better governments on the long term.

The whole concept of wash trading is corrupt. So what if they're wash trading. So we have to have some Nanny government agency cashing in on this activity? I think not. People just need to know it's happening. We're fucking grownups. Life is risky.

The stupid do not need to be protected by government. The stupid will find a way to lose. But smart people do need to fail sometimes so they can learn from mistakes. It's a lie that government is trying to protect people: They protect rackets.

I think many just buy LTC and trade it for BSV somewhere.

1ECoyq…NzaD Key · twetch

I don't think the SEC are gods, but they'll sure try to fine you like one. The US Government certainly has seized too much power.

Ask yourself: What does it mean when I buy the NFT? Does it give me special legal rights? If not, you're really not buying anything.

Governments may take the position that non-redeemable NFTs are illegal.

1ECoyq…NzaD Key · twetch

Bitcoin is a token. But Bitcoin has a ledger that makes every transaction public record. That is very valuable. In a sense, when you buy Bitcoin, you're buying a record keeping service.

Sad but the United States is printing money and destroying the USD. They think they can transition to something else, but they can't. This is the end of the empire.

1ECoyq…NzaD Key · twetch

There's a lot of danger of a token, NFT or otherwise, of being ruled a "Security".

1ECoyq…NzaD Key · twetch

NFTs that are actually redeemable for something are the only legitimate ones.

Rights to market content and receive revenue from sales profits will be another big use case. NFTs for rights and services is one hell of a rabbit hole of neat possibilities.

1ECoyq…NzaD Key · twetch

Just wait until people start selling NFTs that can be redeemed or presented for services and privileges. That is going to be a super hot use case.

1ECoyq…NzaD Key · twetch

That is living large.

BSV could be freedom from Big tech. People are terrified of being cut off from their data. But they are normies. They need polished apps like Dropbox or Google Drive. If Twetch remains the only polished app for much longer, it will be too late.

1ECoyq…NzaD Key · twetch

HandCash could help with freedom from Big Tech (Twitter's Jack) if it fully supported a USD stable coin. Then it would be a CashApp killer.

When I was young, I was poor and had to start over completely from scratch a few times. Including obtaining copies of critical documents. Bitcoin would have been of great value helping me bootstrap my life. Let Project Bootstrap begin. What did he need?

Onboarding to Bitcoin will be basically be people buying tokens (for anything) and seamlessly trading them for Bitcoin. Yes. I saw this coming. Tokens will be the primary gateway to Bitcoin.

1ECoyq…NzaD Key · twetch

And their motivation for doing that is that they really are competing for top spot in the revenue share.

1ECoyq…NzaD Key · twetch

And not only is it a NFT but curators can compete to feature it on their feeds by participating in an auction for it.

1ECoyq…NzaD Key · twetch

Hate to inform the "death spiral" crew but since 99% of BTC transactions are on exchanges, the likelihood of a quick BTC death is small. It's more likely to just slowly decline and lose dominance. How anticlimactic I know!

I'm still optimistic about BSV. Without utility, price is a popularity contest that never ends well as the contestants get old and their narratives lose credibility.

1ECoyq…NzaD Key · twetch

In the War of Stores-of-Value, it is a war of attrition. They will consolidate. And if they lack utility they will be volatile. Extreme volatility does not end well.

1ECoyq…NzaD Key · twetch

If everything in the world was tokenized and traded online, we'd know at any given moment what was the "best" store of value in the world. Of course that is completely relative to a time interval.

1ECoyq…NzaD Key · twetch

The war of Stores of Value is raging. It only sucks when you're losing money.

1ECoyq…NzaD Key · twetch

I said I would never rage quit Bitcoin, but moving coins without a legit private key would do it for me. Burning coins and reissuing with new keys is something I think I could barely tolerate. As usual, implementation is key to success or failure.
