sunset Dominica, in the Carribean. Summer 2016.
sunset from Whitley Heights, Hollywood CA 2019
sunrise Fort Lauderdale, Florida -- I think 2017. Probably looks the same in any year though :)
What's even more interesting is I'm not a fearful person. I don't worry about being alone, or walking alone, no irrational fears of attack. It was just the wild animal thing. SO interesting. Maybe it's the unknown..
I recently moved to a mountainous desert area & found some hiking spots. Until now, I didn't realize how much I fear running into wild animals, mntn lions, bobcats, etc. I know it's largely irrational (I looked up the stats) but fear is a funny thing! 😨
Amazing!
That's a great way to put it. I feel that.
Wondering if you've ever been to the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum in Washington DC? I was there last winter and it was extraordinary. Couple shots..
Sanity in the desert this evening.
Tap into your energy system. Much to explore!

It's become trendy for techys to wear bluelight blocking glasses - we spend entire days in front of artificial light. This article does a good job explaining why wearing them can improve your health and sleep: https://truedark.com/truedark-science/
I've heard you mention this before, just haven't taken the time to make the switch nor have I evaluated pros and cons.. but I will soon.
Love that feeling when I have everything on hand to make a recipe. Tabouli, make your way to me.
Dublin, close to a year ago.
Couple a years ago..Bozeman, Montana. Drop dead gorgeous land. Travel is the muse.
what I love about your post River, is you're thinking deeply about these matters. Keep it up! Concluding is not usually all that important but rather being in the state of curiosity and interest.
once again, the various media are telling you what's important to think about.
I sometimes know what's going on "out there" but it's mostly accidental and through my peripheral vision (so-to-speak). Don't taint your creation with other people's reality.
Love this interview: Kaufman talks w/the sons of Harvey Bigelsen who've carried on their father's work. Gets into pleomorphism and terrain theory. (p.s. the ones they call quacks are so far ahead of the game)
Yeah I really liked it too. It can be so easy to forget and become the thermometer and burn yourself out.
🤣🤣🤣
right, true. I just want them to mind their own business, they can do as they please.
