Yeah, it's a fraud, and fraudsters don't like when their victims inadvertently stops funding them.

Why do you need Bitcoin if States can just improve on the fiat currencies?
Why don't the State make its fiat currency "honest and transparent"? It would be very simple for them.
Honest question: if Bitcoin is not about breaking the law, now or in the future, then what is it for?

BSV: "Am I a joke to you?"
Every time I bring up scaling, people get emotional and I end up blocking some idiots. They are angry at reality, that a small block Bitcoin naturally pushes billions to custodial solutions.
I'm all for a free market. Was just baffled after a discussion with an ETH bro recently, who wanted to make the economy "efficient" by letting the State know of exactly all of your assets in your home, and decide which of them could be utilized elsewhere.
1.) I rarely tweet about other coins than Bitcoin, but I must say, I have never met so much economic confusion, so much monetary insanity, so much naïve tinkerlust and an urge to plan the actions of others, as when eyeing parts of the Ethereum crowd.
2.) We have bright-eyed UBI schemers, theorists mumbling that immutability is tyranny and mutability is property rights. We have paper proof-of-work enthusiasts, fearing the cost of actual hard money production. Now take all this and add unicorn costumes.
Note that everyone still benefits. Everyone is richer in a world where wealth has become harder to confiscate, perhaps especially those without much wealth in the first place.
Bitcoin is about resisting confiscation for those who can afford it. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Bitcoin was never about "being your own bank".
Either the blocks are small and billions can't afford to transact onchain to manage channels, or the blocks are large and billions can't afford to validate txs and rules themselves.
Good, easy times: trans people in the military? maybe, let's debate ❤️ Bitcoin? sure let's not stifle innovation. 🙈
Bad times: you counterfeit - you get shot.
World's worst romcom screenplay idea.

If I've got to fund someone here in all perpetuity, it might as well be a Numpty.
Would have made a pretty solid incentive in expanding the user base in a decentralized fashion! Sorry I couldn't be of more use to you.
We will see. I think BTC is much harder to change for the worse, than BSV. That does not mean I don't believe people can screw it up royally over the decades to come.
There is great value in solving for commonly used MoE (money), but even greater value in solving for confiscation resistance, which is why gold is still worth an extreme amount. BSV functions well as MoE for short t, but for longer t, we don't know yet.
Wait, so every time I twetch, @109 has been making money???
No Keynesian-strained mainstream economist will ever be able to answer this question without giving an embarrassingly stupid answer:
"How do you build a factory without hoarding first?"
Sherlock Holmes starts with the smallest of clues and zoom out, forming theories while doing it. Other detectives start with broad theories, and then try to fit the facts.
Austrians vs. other schools of economics.
This is factually correct, though it would be hard to know for how long a BSV stays a BSV.
Remember if the dollar and the banking system both fail, you can use Bitcoin SV. (BTC won't work)
Camp 1: BTC is the best money even if it costs 20 dollars to transact. HODL!
Camp 2: BTC absolutely can't protect your wealth from looters because it costs 20 dollars to transact. It's a scam!
Both wrong, why is it so hard to understand this.
Telling others to stack is a weird move if you think Bitcoin is going up on fundamentals. It is pushing a shallow type of camaraderie that does not scale, and so can't exist for long.
More respect for those stacking in silence.
Industrial use doesn't matter, that's not where most value is. Silver is used much more in industry than gold, yet holds 1/50th or so of gold's mkt cap.
Real value (and money) is in least costly Medium of (Indirect) Exchange.
Menger described the dynamic that took the world from hundreds of monies (seashells, beads, cloths, horses etc) to just gold and silver. This dynamic stems from relative saleableness of commodities. Individuals will over time use the least costly MoE.
