Proof-of-Work helps with preventing usury. Bitcoin is actually theologically sound money. Modern fiat is sinful from its point of inception as it is a debt obligation to the issuer.

The thing that absolutely blows me away in the general population, is the fact that almost no-one has even heard the word usury before.

Profit sharing beyond a certain time period is still usurious. The concept of a timelocked general jubilee would be useful in this regard. The creditor cannot issue a substantially usurious loan if there are short time periods of debt obligations.
