The object is all that is real. Abstract relations are just stories.

I decided to come back and help Daniel undermine anyone who wants to hurt Bitcoin.
me too
I suppose that makes sense Steve. It’s hard to argue that if Amazon accepted Bitcoin it would not result in lots more people attempting to hoard Bitcoin.
I have written an article explaining why Stock to Flow (S2F) with respect to Bitcoin is moronic.
Roger is still working to make BCH better, but he plans to join Twetch soon if @4 and @3 let him.
It’s becoming patently obvious to all that BTC has become useless. And if it can’t be spent in the future, it’s unclear why anyone would want to save it now. http://anypayinc.com/whats-the-deal-with-anypay-and-btc/
you should see what useless crap my kids willingly pay for in roblox. Paying @4 $1 for dark theme seems a fair way to bootstrap a worthy project IMO.
Honestly this was the highlight for me too. It's tiring arguing about BTC, and to be honest, things have gotten so stupid over there that laughter is more appropriate.

i think we can benefit from @OutputCapital style revenue shares for certain features or products that are funded from users. for example, we charge $9.99 for a desktop app, those who funded the pre-sale get % of the sales over set amount of time
Oh snap.
It’s hard to overstate how poor thinking many in BTC are. They are simultaneously offended by any product built on BTC that “spams the blockchain” and also by any product built on anything other than BTC. See replies to this for case in point: https://twitter.com/Melt_Dem/status/1263064432109854725

Spending money should ideally make you wealthier.
If Bezos adopted BSV it would have the effect of a massive BSV advertising campaign.
If Bezos profit-sought in BSV it would have a different kind of effect.
It’s true there is zero entrepreneurship encouragement in BTC. If anything, there is active discouragement because any commerce there highlights the weakness in the design.
When you called them a “useless middle man for me as an investor” I would say the exact opposite has proven to be the case over time.
I agree with Deggen. Companies are a social fiction, an abstract invention, just like money, that allows for human cooperation and risk taking on scales never before possible.
Worth looking into the history of corporations and how they helped society develop tremendously. It's not just a middleman. It's very very important.
Some people sit around with candelabras talking about their ERC20 smart contract tokens they got whipped up on fivver. Others grow the Bitcoin economy.
Lord forgive us of our sins
Did you slip in a Portlandia reference in there Isaac?
lightning sure is broken.
The wallets have to reserve an amount of your channel liquidity in case there is a forced channel closure necessary. But it varies depending on how full the mempool is; when fees go way up a small channel just gets forced closed
