If connecting people is your goal, you're ineffective at it. Your tactics are about as poor as the ones I've been using here, if that were my goal.
The thing is, I'm not trying to fix the problem. The cost/benefit analysis isn't good for that.
Nonsense. Observing without being affected isn't observation at all.
It's better to seek wisdom in observation. Change in a purposeful, holistic way towards a better understanding of the world and oneself.
Why do you enjoy Texas Holdem?
This isn't bait. It's a conversation.
You assume this is an adversarial network, which is incorrect.
You should study the psychology of positive vs negative reinforcements.
To the extent that people are swayed by the u/ number, that's just more of people not understanding the game they're playing.
A low u/ number has no bearing on the value of my posts, or whether or not I deserve attention.
Oh look, a few hours of half-assed conversation and annoying a few noisy people and I'm on the leaderboard.
Not hard to get up there, if you know how the game is played...
If only people here decided to play better games...
It's me, Sure. @9823 can vouch for me.
Did you know that the act of observing something, under the right conditions, affects that something?
"I don't talk about BSV! I talk about anti-BSV!"
Ok then.
Try this, what do you want to talk about?
Next after what?
Sorry, was the sarcasm filter not strong enough for you?
I'll just reconfigure the subliminal buffer, reverse the polarity on the soundbox, and engage the synthetic carbonic repleter...
There, that oughta fix it.
I'm sooo totally sure, bro.
The primary communication method on Twetch is via text, ergo, it's a text-based platform.
For someone who suggested a proof of work platform in their first post, you're doing an awful lot of low opportunity cost signalling.
Are you sure you understand what you think you're promoting?
Why don't you?
I told you earlier that culture is about connections between people.
Think through the implications of that.
He says on a text-based platform.
Now that is proof of work.
Thank you for sharing.
I'm sure.
Building the culture of Twetch isn't my job.
Also, how do you propose I act on a text-only platform without engaging in text-based communications?
Think through the implications of what you're saying.
What is your favorite style of poker? Why?
I have experience in building cultures.
Most of that experience has to do with building a homogenistic culture, as that's what team building is about.
But that gives me insights into the problems here.
Are you familiar with Dunbar's number? It's an order of magnitude smaller than the active userbase you just cited.
As for giving me too much attention, I baited them. Most people here don't understand the game they're playing. Shrug
Is that fried hard boiled eggs?
Fundamentally, the fostering of new clusters in the overall group is what needs to happen. Then, with many clusters, new ones can pop up organically.
If there's a single overwhelmingly dominant cluster/culture, it stifles all others.
Encouraging more/different topics that people are enthusiastic about, rather than just talking about something different, creates opportunities for new connections.
The way people talk with one another, their expectations... All of it is culture.
Topics =/= culture
A culture can discuss many topics.
A culture comes from the connections between people.
Oh look, another thing you don't understand: culture.
Kafkatraps bore me.
I'm being precisely as specific as I intend to be.
It isn't hard to understand what I'm suggesting from here.
You appear to be speaking from a context that I do not get yet. So, I can't say one way or the other.
