I think I did well on my test, so that makes me happy. And it's fortunate, because I just found out this afternoon that my best childhood friend is dead, and that is making me really, terribly sad. He was jolly and fun, and I'll miss you forever, Matt.

But the perceived injustices - real or imagined - caused by the internalization of perceived racism - real or imagined - almost certainly will lead to war even where war is not otherwise inevitable.
So, I suppose the perception of racism is worse.
I typed a conclusion to this that didn't post and now it's gone 😕
It essentially was that the perception of racism is worse than the idea of war.
Wow, thank you so much!
Thanks for the good and civil convo, you guys💞
Thats it!! Yeah, loved his speech. Really nailed it.
Very much! True passion.
Our immigrants remind us of what we have to be grateful for.
Same! I rejected my Catholic upbringing in part due to this misunderstanding; at the same time knowing that i could just not wrap my head around ME conflict. When it finally clicked it really blew me away... no pun intended.
No, it was an immigrant. Maybe an RNC speech ... or SOTU. Can't remember.
Exactly correct.
They might, though. That's the thing.
I remember that speech by ... someone I'd have to look up. But he said basically that America - the idea of it - is it. There is nowhere else to go. Except Mars. But still, we cannot fail, or we fail all humanity.
Everything I learned about The Crusades in school was wrong.
I had no idea that the Crusades were in large part a response to the barbaric and cruel advances of Islam.
I'm no Christian, but my sympathy for their plight is greater than it's ever been.
Let me know how that works out for you all up there.
Anyway, I'm down to $0.71 you guys. Not an ask, I have plenty. Just have to move things around. Spent a ton just giving away to people who joined with my link, etc. It's fun to do, but now this is where it's got me.
Lol. Well, just wait until you're ruled by Muslims. That ought to fix things for you. It'll be different, anyway.
Always look on the bright side.

Sounds like someone is on a power trip. But that has not so much to do with any particular race as it does with who is in power.
Wars in large part are fed by the agendas of those with ambitions of greed... like the Military Industrial complex.
Humanity in general wants peace. Greed and selfishness fuel despotic actions from those with too much power.
I ALMOST GOT AWAY WITH IT
See? So, I think many of us should all just be very thankful that this is the time in which we live and the places in which we were born.
If you don't like it, just live forever. It'll change.
Mainstream media wants race wars... so they persuade us to believe that we're all at odds with each other. They can more easily fulfill other agendas if we're distracted by manufactured problems.
Quite! How more people do not understand that the war they so desperately seek is one of class, I will never understand. This is a truth that spans centuries. To whittle about on differences of race is the work of a pawn as directed by the power hungry.
"Systemic racism" IS the norm. The only thing that changes is the target, and the target depends on who is in charge. It is a flaw of humanity.
People like you, apparently.
Well, we actually are not the majority. That's why we're minorities, but ... okay.
