Welcome to India's historic Moon landing—apparently brought to you by the graphics department responsible for a 2004 PlayStation 2 cutscene.

India proudly announces to the world that it has successfully landed on the Moon, while viewers are treated to visuals that look suspiciously like someone discovered Blender approximately 45 minutes before launch. Nothing screams "cutting-edge space exploration" quite like watching a historic lunar landing and wondering when the textures are going to finish loading.

Meanwhile, officials applaud, patriotic speeches begin, and everyone celebrates while the rest of us are apparently expected to look at the footage and say, "Yep, definitely the Moon. Absolutely nothing cartoonish happening here."

To be clear, dodgy-looking graphics don't prove the Chandrayaan-3 mission was fake. But if you're announcing to billions of people that you've conquered lunar exploration, perhaps don't present the big moment like the opening cinematic from Moon Landing Simulator: Budget Edition.

And if you still believe NASA went to the Moon, this one's for you—because apparently India watched the original, said "we can do that", and forgot the part where you're supposed to make the footage convincing.
