i agree with @42215 that twetch chat should be a one-time paid feature. i bought twetch chat in old twetch and i was a twetch green subscriber from the start but after the reboot i did not subscribe again. i thought "let's see, maybe later". 

now with that subscription update the messaging feature is basically broken for me. i was pretty generous when it comes to tipping and liking because i figured i'll invest what i saved by not subscribing better into likes and tips, in my own way. 

this "update" makes me think i shouldnt be spending much more time here at all. lurking will be enough for me at the moment.
